dAy OFFs

YaY for day offs!!
As all Wednesdays are my day off I was productive this Wednesday.
Ode to productiveness. lol
Anyways I attended H.O.P. (house of prayer), cleaned my room, finished one movie and completed another.
and tonight I listened to an AmAzing women of God preach the Gospel.
I also have this Oober random song forming in my head,
cept i dont write songs or even sing for that matter.
And its kinda a worship/love song thing.
Whatev, we'll see if it even becomes an actual full length song. Can songs count as poems cause if so that would put #99 in better light.
The "poem" that i did write was kinda on the down side. Maybe this one would be on a lighter note or at least a better ending.
lol and thats even if we count songs as a form of poetry?? hmmm we will have to speculate some.

Anywho two questions for you Reader!!
One: why do they put the small stickers on apples, cause by the time I get'em off I d0n't even want the apple anymore. Is there a point to them??
and
Two: Do Oompa Lumpas ever wear hair nets while harvesting sweets for Wonka?? I cant find the hair nets!! It freaks me OUT!!

ToDay

oh my lions, tigers, and bears OH MY!!
lol I make myself laugh

Being a cook is a special talent that no everyone has.
Not everyone can pan fry chicken, boil pasta, and hold a conversation all at the same time. Then lay out a presentation of beautiful food. First the bed of Alfredo drenched noodles, place each golden brown chicken strip with a careful hand, then sprinkle on the lovely green cilantro.
No No Not everyone can do this. Tonight was a proven fact of this.
That proven fact is ME!!
My parents are currently at the ER. No worries their both perfectly fine.
Back to the food.
I pulled a box out of the cabinet of
"Dinner Ready in 20mins". While what was suppose to take only 20mins turned into 45 mins.
I defrosted the chicken to long so it was almost cooked before ever hitting the pan for frying. I boiled the noodles to mush at the exact same time I burned the chicken that was supposed to be golden brown. I milked up the Alfredo. Yup milked it up!! Yay Me! Once it was all done. I served it up then throe it up. Thats the conclusion of our dinner. Just proves my inability to cook.

BUT!!!
I did paint my nails and toes!! and they look DANE gOOdd . . . . oh yeah.
Its probably what I should stick to lol

more Shel...

Rain: I opened my eyes And looked up at the rain, And it dripped in my head And flowed into my brain, And all that I hear as I lie in my bed Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head. I step very softly,I walk very slow,I can't do a handstand--I might overflow, So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said--I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head

Forgotten Language

Once I spoke the language of the flowers,

Once I understood each word the caterpillar said,

Once I smiled in secret at the gossip of the starlings,

And shared a conversation with the houseflyin my bed.

Once I heard and answered all the questions of the crickets,

And joined the crying of each falling dyingflake of snow,

Once I spoke the language of the flowers. . . .

How did it go?

How did it go?

One Inch Tall

If you were only one inch tall, you'd ride a worm to school.

The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool.

A crumb of cake would be a feast

And last you seven days at least,

A flea would be a frightening beast

If you were one inch tall.

If you were only one inch tall, you'd walk beneath the door,

And it would take about a month to get down to the store.

A bit of fluff would be your bed,

You'd swing upon a spider's thread,

And wear a thimble on your head

If you were one inch tall.

You'd surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum.

You couldn't hug your mama, you'd just have to hug her thumb.

You'd run from people's feet in fright,

To move a pen would take all night,

(This poem took fourteen years to write--'Cause I'm just one inch tall).

breathing

lying like lead in the depths of my stomach was dread.

dread that something was happening that i couldn't prevent.

something that would steal from me.

something that would hurt as time travels passed.

i lay down under the protection of fabric and warmth.

hoping that dread will grow bored of me.

wander off to another unsuspecting soul.

he sticks close.

whispering.

i do the only thing i know.

not sure if i believe anymore.

i stare into the void of the ceiling.

i whisper to anything that will hear my plea.

i beg in hushed tones for protection over what i love.

waiting for response.

waiting for reply.

all that bounces back is silence.

nothing.

i ponder if i have done it wrong?

did i say it aloud or in my mind?

still silence.

i just lye there.

hoping that dread will just leave me be.

restless, impatient.

i close my eyes.

lay there until sleep conquers my restless mind.

dread smiles at me as he strolls onto his next appointment.

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

--Marilyn Monroe

Ode to the Lists

the other day I started a quote notebook as listed in "The List". Then I started two lists in the back of the book. One of names and another of children books. Now don't think I've gone all baby crazy. I assure you I haven't!! At least not yet.

Anyways to the point.

I realized I have a tendency to make lists.

List for all sorts of things. For shopping, For bills, For what I want, For pros/cons, For parties, For beliefs, For cleaning, For packing, For daily Do's, For EVERYTHING!!

I seriously mean everything. I wasn'T really aware of my compulsion to do this, but there it is.

At this very moment I currently have SiX lists in my phone.

SiX really SiX.

why on earth do I need SiX different lists?

1st there is always a point to a list. 2nd It helps you accomplish what needs to be done oh and 3rd to prevent forgetting.

In all honesty I would be lost without my lists. Lists are truly a fantastic invention. If you are a fellow Lister then you know the feeling of satisfaction when completing a marvelous list to remind you of all the little and big things you may forget.

OH the love of LISts!!

Just a few short notes from Shel Silverstein...

Ticklish Tom

Did you hear 'bout Ticklish Tom?He got tickled by his mom.Wiggled and giggled and fell on the floor,Laughed and rolled right out the door. All the way to school and thenHe got tickled by his friends.Laughed till he fell off his stool,Laughed and rolled right out of schoolDown the stairs and finally stoppedTill he got tickled by a cop.And all the more that he kept gigglin',All the more folks kept ticklin'.He shrieked and screamed and rolled around,Laughed his way right out of town.Through the country down the road,He got tickled by a toad.Past the mountains across the plain,Tickled by the falling rain,Tickled by the soft brown grass,Tickled by the clouds that passed.Giggling, rolling on his backHe rolled on the railroad track.Rumble, rumble, whistle, roar--Tom ain't ticklish any more.
